There's a meme floating around the web of a clip-art frog over a line of text in the Papyrus font stating "graphic design is my passion." Obviously this is an ironic piece of art, but I love it! Graphic design (and art as a whole) is my passion. All I want in life is to create beautiful packaging, design typography that stuns, and show the world why good design makes a great business.
I graduated from Kutztown University of PA in 2018 with a BFA in Communication Design, concentrating in graphic design and illustration. Creative problem solving, experimental design, and avant-garde concepts are what I enjoy most about about being a designer.
Spending two summers working as the sole creative at the Kutztown Community Partnership, I was able to gain experience in various aspects of the design industry. My responsibilities included meeting with clients, drafting ideas, and communicating with the printer. Leading members of the organization entrusted me to carry out projects, which was a challenge I was excited to take on. I learned a lot about time management, professionalism, and client communication. These skills have led me to become a stronger designer.
With two years of corporate design under my belt, I now have experience from both ends of the business spectrum. I was able to manage multiple projects at any given time, that ranged from print to web to production design. On top of this, I have also taken on various freelance projects for both design and illustration.
